Plant-Based Taco Meat

My plant-based taco meat is absolutely delicious and full of protein! And this cost less than $5 to make!! 🙌

Ingredients
  

  • 1 block Extra-firm organic tofu
  • 1 packet taco seasoning mix
  • 2 Tbsp. Nutritional yeast
  • 1 pinch seasoning salt

Instructions
 

  • Using a potato masher, mash the tofu until it resembles crumbly meat consistency.
  • Add taco seasoning, nutritional yeast, and seasoning salt and stir until thoroughly combined
  • Spread evenly onto parchment lined baking sheet.
  • Spray the top with avocado or olive oil to get a crispier texture.
  • Bake in pre-heated 400 degree oven for about 30 minutes, stirring halfway through cooking time.
  • Use immediately or store in airtight container in fridge for several days and use in your favorite Mexican dishes.
