Plant-Based Taco Meat

My plant-based taco meat is absolutely delicious and full of protein! And this cost less than $5 to make!! 🙌

Ingredients
  

  • 1 block Extra-firm organic tofu
  • 1 packet taco seasoning mix
  • 2 Tbsp. Nutritional yeast
  • 1 pinch seasoning salt

Method
 

  1. Using a potato masher, mash the tofu until it resembles crumbly meat consistency.
  2. Add taco seasoning, nutritional yeast, and seasoning salt and stir until thoroughly combined
  3. Spread evenly onto parchment lined baking sheet.
  4. Spray the top with avocado or olive oil to get a crispier texture.
  5. Bake in pre-heated 400 degree oven for about 30 minutes, stirring halfway through cooking time.
  6. Use immediately or store in airtight container in fridge for several days and use in your favorite Mexican dishes.
