Healthy Snacks

I’ve talked in previous posts about healthy snack ideas, and today, I want to add a few more ideas to that list.

Snacking can either help or hurt our diet, so it’s important to have a list of healthy snacks and brands that will be friendly to our waistline and keep our metabolism humming.

Here a few of my favorite healthy snacks:

So Delicious Yogurt – They make delicious, dairy-free yogurts that are full of healthy probiotics.  They are great on their own, or you can add sliced fruit and gluten-free granola on the top for a heartier snack.

Raw Rev Glo Bars – These taste like an indulgent treat, yet they are packed with healthy plant proteins and superfoods and are loaded with fiber! My favorite flavor is the Mixed Nuts, Caramel and Sea Salt as it has pockets of melted chocolate throughout the bar!

Clementines – Sometimes labeled as “Cuties” at the store, these juicy fruits are the perfect little snack.  Full of Vitamin C, these are a healthy option when I’m craving something sweet.

Kind Fruit & Veggie Bars – With a nice variety of flavors, these kind bars are packed with nutrients from the vegetables and fruit.  It’s also a great way to get your kids to eat more veggies!

Gala Apples – You can’t go wrong with this crisp, crunchy, and sweet variety of apple.  I love having these on hand to get my “crunch” fix, and they are loaded with vitamins, minerals, and satiating fiber.

Lundberg Family Farms – These chocolate covered rice cakes give you just enough chocolate with the nice “crunch” of a rice cake.  Because they’re lightly coated, they’re not too high in sugar or calories, making them the perfect compliment to a nice, hot cup of tea!

Mary’s Gone Crackers – These crackers are delicious and super crunchy!  They are full of nuts and seeds and a great source of fiber.  They are also thick and “durable”, making them the ideal cracker for dipping!

Roots Mango Sriracha Hummus – This is my favorite store bought hummus!  It’s super creamy with just the right balance of sweet and spicy. It’s the perfect dip for the Mary’s Gone Crackers.

Green Smoothies & Juices – You knew I had to throw these in, right?!  The daily habit of drinking a green smoothie or juice can do wonders for your health.  Blend or juice away and store in airtight containers or Mason Jars in the fridge or a stainless steel cup for on-the-go.

Popcorn – Organic popcorn popped on the stove is a delicious and healthy snack.  I buy organic popcorn from Trader Joes and add a few tablespoons of coconut oil to a pot and pop it that way.  It’s so much healthier than microwave popcorn!  I love to add Herbamare seasoning to it, which has a delicious blend of herbs and sea salt.
