I’m back today with another list (I really love lists, if you haven’t already noticed!).
I’ll be honest – drinking water throughout the day is not something I’m very good at. I know how important water is for my body and its many different functions, but unless I feel thirsty, I often won’t drink anything. Of course, thirst is one of the last signals that your body gives you to let you know its dehydrated.
So, I’m making a conscious effort to drink more water. In order to do that, I had to make it more interesting – because let’s face it, plain water is not very exciting…or tasty. And the good thing is, I don’t have to drink plain water to get my recommended “8 glasses” for the day. As long as my beverage does not contain too much caffeine or refined sugar, there are a number of healthy drinks that can count as my “8 glasses.”
So, of course, I thought compiling a list would be helpful. These are drinks that will help to hydrate, nourish, and energize my body (that’s my criteria for the “8 glasses” rule). They are a lot more fun than plain ole’ water and SO much healthier than regular or diet sodas 🙂 Hope you find a new favorite on the list!
