When you think of essential oils, lavender is probably one of the first to come to mind. It’s been used for centuries and has so many amazing uses. You can find lavender in pretty much any store these days, but unfortunately, not all lavender is created equal. Here is what doTERRA has to say about the quality and potency of their lavender oil over other companies:
“doTERRA’s Lavender (Lavandula angustifolia) essential oil is indigenous to the Provence region of France. The high altitudes at which lavender is grown results in the plant having higher ester and sesquiterpene alcohol content, thereby increasing its helpful benefits. You simply cannot duplicate the rocky soil and Mediterranean growing conditions that are specific to this region. Although lavender grows readily in the United States, the qualities are not as beneficial because, the growing conditions that exist in the native lands cannot be duplicated. Where your oils are sourced matters.”
Make sure that the lavender oil you are using is of the highest quality from a company you trust. Otherwise, you may be doing more harm than good!
