This week has been all about green smoothies! I hope you’ve been inspired to get in the kitchen and create your own delicious, health-promoting green smoothies. You may be wondering about the best blenders to use, where to find recipes, and how to store your ingredients. I’ve got your covered! Here are some of my favorite resources for making the best green smoothies:
Kitchen Appliances
Vitamix
If you are going to make green smoothies, I highly encourage you to invest in a Vitamix blender. In my opinion, this is the best blender on the market! With a 7-year warranty and a motor that propels blades up to 240 mph to blend the toughest ingredient, this professional grade blender will have you blending the best tasting smoothies for years to come! Totally worth it!
NutriBullet
For a more budget-friendly blender that can blend smaller amounts, the NutriBullet is another great option. This personal sized blender is perfect for blending one or two servings at a time. Great for college students, small kitchen spaces, and those who want less clean up every day. Even my boys love to pull out our NutriBullet and make their own smoothies!

You may be wondering where to find delicious recipes for all those smoothies you want to make. Nutriliving is NutriBullet’s free database of smoothies and juices that can be made using the NutriBullet. No more worrying about what to blend next, as there are literally hundreds and hundreds of health-promoting, delicious-tasting smoothie recipes!
Simple Green Smoothies
Another one of my favorite resources for all things smoothies is Simple Green Smoothies. Their companion cookbook is fabulous, and they just recently released a Green Smoothie app for your phone. Whether you’re new to blending or have been making smoothies for years, you’ll love the incredible resources they provide on their website.
Containers
Mason Jars
Mason Jars are excellent for storing and drinking your green smoothies. With a wide variety of shapes and sizes, these durable glass containers are also freezer proof, making them an excellent choice for make-ahead smoothie ingredients.
Ziploc Bags
Ziploc freezer bags are another excellent way to store make ahead smoothie ingredients in the freezer. These bags are BPA-free and are a convenient way to stick with the green smoothie habit!
Yeti Cups
If you want to keep your smoothie cold for hours, I highly recommend Yeti cups! These are a favorite in our house for everything from hot coffee to cold smoothies. These cups are extremely durable and made of double walled stainless steel.
