Favorite Non-Toxic Beauty Products: Cleansers & Moisturizers

NonToxicBeautyProducts

I want to share with y’all some of my favorite non-toxic skincare products. I try to use only use non-toxic, all-natural products, because I believe that what goes on my body is as important as what goes in it.  Most conventional beauty products are full of toxic chemicals that cause adverse skin reactions and can even lead to cancer

In today’s post, I want to focus on cleansers and moisturizers. This is the foundation of any skincare regimen, so it’s important to get these products right.  I have tried A LOT of products over the years, and these have become some of my favorites.

Favorite Cleanser & MoisturizersDr. Bronners

  • Favorite CleanserDr. Bronner’s Magic Soaps in Baby Mild. I’ve been using this soap for years, and I love it. It is very concentrated, so a little goes a long way, making a bottle last a long time. It comes in a variety of fragrances (made with essential oils), but I like the Baby Mild because of my extremely sensitive skin. This soap is made from a number of beneficial organic oils for the skin, including coconut oil, olive oil, hemp oil, and jojoba oil. I’ve never had any problems with this soap breaking me out or irritating my sensitive skin.
  • Favorite Daytime MoisturizerAndalou Naturals 1000 Roses Day Cream. Andalou Naturals is a wonderful company that uses Fair Trade, Organic, and Non-GMO (Genetically Modified Organisms) Rose Day Creamingredients in their products (no toxins here!). I love their 1000 Roses line as it’s great for sensitive skin. The daytime moisturizer is light, yet very moisturizing, and it smells heavenly. I tried many different daytime moisturizers before finding this one, and it’s one of the few that hasn’t irritated my skin or made me break out.  Love it.
  • Favorite Nighttime MoisturizerEyptian Magic All-Purpose Cream. Think of this cream as a non-toxEgyptian Magicic, healthy version of Vaseline. No petroleum or mineral oil in this product! It’s made from healing olive oil, beeswax, honey, royal jelly and propolis. I slather this on my face every night (it’s super greasy – too greasy for daytime use) but it helps balance my skin, clear any blemishes, and moisturize. I can’t be without this cream! I’ve used it for years and love it.  You can also use it on cracked hands, to heal cuts and abrasions, and even to moisturize the ends of your hair.  It really is a multi-purpose product.

Other Recommendations

Juice Beauty Nutrient Moisturizer – I just recently started to try this moisturizer for daytime use, and so far, I am impressed.  It’s full of beneficial fruit juices and organic oils and is very nourishing to the skin.  I have not had any breakouts either.  I will keep you posted.

Juice Beauty Stem Cellular Moisturizer – I’ve also started to try this Juice Beauty cream at night, and I love it.  It’s very thick and moisturizing, and I can feel it working (seems to have a slight tingling and tightening effect).  You can find Juice Beauty products online, and at retailers like Ulta and Sephora (you can ask for samples at these retailers or purchase inexpensive travel kits to see if the products work for you).
